A resident tattoo artist at our San Marcos location, Curtis aka "CJ" joins us directly from the Pacific Islands where he is an amazing addition to our Ink Couture team. CJ is perhaps best known for his authentic Polynesian, however, he excels in multiple styles. In particular, his large custom color pieces are true works of art. Other specialties include Japanese, neo-traditional, black and grey and everywhere in between. CJ' passion for his craft and original masterpieces and decade of tattoo experience thrill clients.
CJ specializes in free-hand authentic Polynesian tribal tattoos. Being a native Pacific Islander, he has studied the meaning of each pattern and design making him to create a meaningful custom authentic Polynesian tattoo just for you.

What inspired you into the art of tattooing?
Getting my first island tribal tattoo got me hooked into learning more about the art of tattooing.
Tell us about the preferred style of your work
I like doing any of the traditional styles like Japanese, American and Polynesian.
What other styles are you known for?
I do a lot of neo traditional work too.
What inspires you as an artist?
Seeing other artist that do similar work to me in tattooing.

I’d say I’m pretty easy to work with and I also take the time to really listen to what you want and bring your vision to life in a way that feels unique.
