Already a renowned artist in other art mediums, Emma began her tattoo career right here at Ink Couture Tattoos. Located at Ink Couture Tattoos San Marcos location, Emma has gathered quite the following with a passion for bold color, delicate linework, painterly style, watercolor, dark, macabre, artistry, among other styles.

What inspired you into the art of tattooing?
Having always been a person driven by passion, tattooing seemed like a no brainer for me having a background in fine art.

For years I worked full time as a horse trainer and although I’ve never full left that lifestyle I found myself wanting to change career paths; both careers take dedication, passion, and determination to be the best.

Though it may seem like an odd jump from one career to the next, there are a lot of parallels between the two such as giving your 100% every day to ensure things run smoothly and going above and beyond for your clients.

Tell us about your preferred style of work.
I prefer anything illustrative and anything colorful. Neo traditional will always be top of the list but I also enjoy color realism, watercolor, and illustrative black and grey.

What other styles are you known for?
I am known for my painterly like color tattoos.

Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist?
I am inspired not only by the talented artist I work around daily but by artist across the globe and historical masters. My inspiration from other artist stretches across all mediums including tattooing, painting, sculpture… even architecture. As tattooers we have the privilege of combining elements from all mediums into a beautiful, lifelong, moving canvas.
