How long have you been tattooing professionally?
Over 10 years.
What inspired you to enter the art of tattooing?
Ever since I was 14 years young I would spend my time doing all kinds of creative things. It wasn’t until I took a trip to Brazil that I had a clear vision that tattooing is my spiritual path and life calling. I was then guided to go to Hawaii where I received a 2 year apprenticeship from Dodge Distad at Koi Tattoo in Kailua, O’ahu. I have worked at serval top shops in California, Oregon and Texas.
What is your preferred style?
I am influenced by Japanese and Celtic art. Both cultures share a mutual love and respect for the natural world, story telling and the ocean.
My preference is towards doing tattoos that are more black and grey with a touch of color for some pop. Anything to do with birds, fish and all kinds of floral/fauna, filagree and pattern work , goddesses , skulls, warriors, ships and sirens , the elements, mystical creatures like faeries, unicorns and dragons.
What other styles are you known for?
I can also do trash polka punk abstract patterns that compliment the bodies natural flow of muscles and skeleton.
What inspires you as an artist?Anything that makes me spiritually grow or expand my consciousness. Any art, film, music or fashion that is capable of touching my heart and delights my senses and self- expression.
Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist?
Simply by resonance. Why should anyone do or choose anything in life? We do and choose as we like , because our free will chooses what excites and makes us feel more alive , more human more connected or heard. If my work excites you then I’m here for you and if it doesn’t then go to the artist on this website that excites you the most. That’s how you know you found the right artist to connect and co- create with on your next tattoo.
